Established the same year as Walla Walla Valley, the Columbia Valley appellation is Washington’s largest wine grape growing region, covering a third of the state’s land mass. This vast growing region provides a range of climatalogical variation, allowing for a wide variety of wine grapes to grow successfully. Home to more than 100 wineries, Columbia Valley also encompasses the sub-regions of Horse Heaven Hills and Wahluke Slope.
